A dental practice in Sidmouth is backing Mouth Cancer Action Month by offering free check-ups to patients and members of the public.
Apollonia House Dental Practice, off Vicarage Road, hopes to increase awareness of the symptoms of a condition which claims 2,000 lives each year. It can often be spotted in its early stages by a dentist during a mouth examination. If caught early, there is a 90 per cent chance of survival.
