Musician Don, who has died aged 68, busked during Sidmouth FolkWeek
A TRIBUTE has been paid to musician Don Partridge; known as the King of the Buskers, who died of a heart attack last week.
Sidmouth’s own radio DJ, Stuart ‘Huggy’ Hughes, created his own one man band on his Sunday afternoon Jukebox Show on Bay FM Online, a community radio station based in Exmouth, as a tribute to Don, 68, who is remembered for his two top 10 hits, Rosie and Blue Eyes, from the Sixties.
Don was no stranger to Sidmouth, having busked around the town during FolkWeek.
Stuart said: “It was only last month that I was playing Don’s two great hits…whilst getting everyone in the Sidmouth Folk Week mood.”
