James with Exeter FM team Paul Nero and Mark Tyler, is looking forward to competing in Saturday and Sunday's event.
Keen footballer James, 25, from Newlands Close, who plays for Colaton Raleigh, will join hundreds of others on Woodbury Common tomorrow to raise money for good causes, including Devon Air Ambulance and the Royal British Legion.
He and his teammates will be one of the first to negotiate the course, which they completed in 39 minutes last year.
