Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary remembers loved ones with 15,000 lit candles

THE skies over Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary will be lit up this afternoon (Friday, December 9) as 15,000 candles, each representing a dedication from supporters to the memory of a loved one, family member, friend or special pet, form part of the charity’s annual Candlelight evening.

Honiton Brass Band will perform traditional Christmas carols in the main yard from 5pm and stables will be home to a live nativity scene.

Children can see Santa in his grotto in the nearby EST centre and there will be seasonal goods on sale as well as hot drinks, mulled wine and mince pies.
