Sidmouth-based falconer Jonathan Marshall will be making a TV appearence on Animal Planet channel’s Preposterous Pets.

The episode, showing on Thursday, April 17, at 8pm, will feature Jonathan’s unique work which includes hang gliding with golden eagles and paragliding with peregrine falcons.

The programme will also show his work with highly schooled Spanish horses which dance to music while falcons fly through their legs at more than 100 miles-per-hour.

The episode was filmed in the autumn of 2013 at various locations in East Devon. One particularly beautiful scene was filmed as the horses splashed and galloped along the beach at Jacob’s ladder, Sidmouth.

Jonathan can be seen flying his falcons on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Seaton, Sidmouth and Exmouth throughout the summer to help control the seagull population.
