A crew from Sidmouth Fire Station was requested by paramedics to gain access to the property.
Sidmouth firefighters were called out to assist paramedics after an elderly woman fell in her home.
The crew was called today (Sunday) to help gain entry to the property as the flat door was locked.
Firefighters used a triple extension ladder to access a first floor window and an unlocked door.
The duty of care was left with the paramedic.
