Firefighters were called to Harcombe after reports of a tractor caught fire.
Two engines from Sidmouth arrived at the scene following a call from the driver of the tractor shortly after 10.30am today (Friday)
A fire spokesman said: On arrival crews confirmed the tractor was well alight and set to work extinguishing it with two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.
“The fire, which started accidentally, was contained to the tractor and caused severe damage. It also resulted in a diesel spill of approximately 20 litres, but this was contained as the crews made the vehicle and scene safe.”
