A CHEQUE for £700 was presented to Tina Heard, chairman of Macmillan Sidmouth Support Group, by members of Sidmouth Flower Club on Tuesday.

It is the club's Ruby anniversary this year, and many of the 80 members; some who have been with the club for 20 years or more, attended Tuesday's annual meeting at St Francis Church Hall, Woolbrook for a delicious spread, put on by committee members, and social afternoon.

Money for Macmillan was raised at the two-day flower show, held in July, which is organised by show secretary Fennella Grigg.

The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at St Francis hall, except in July, August and December.
