For some time there have been calls for a food market to be established as a regular feature in the town - the only one in East Devon not to have a weekly market.

The Vision Group for Sidmouth's market will be held at St John Ambulance hall, Blackmore Drive, on Saturday, July 11.

Group secretary Jeremy Woodward said: "We still have spaces available, so if your readers wish to offer locally produced food - from meat, veg and dairy to plants and pies - or know of local producers and retailers who would be interested, please contact us (01395) 512419.
