SCORES of excited children will again gather around Sidmouth’s Bedford Lawn car park on Good Friday when the town’s hot cross bun tradition returns.
Scores of sweet treats will be handed out from 9am.
Sidmouth Hot Cross Bun Fun volunteers will be on hand to distribute buns with 2,000 being made by staff at Vinnicombes- led by owner Martin Kerridge.
“We will have 1,000 oranges and 1,000 chocolate eggs to give away as well,” said fund treasurer Nigel Hillier, who is now hoping fine weather will prevail to ensure big crowds for the event.
