It’s a family affair! Sidmouth grandmother Janet Newton has teamed up with writer Christine Hardy and the Woodlands Hotel to organise a fundraiser for the Youth Arts and Health Trust.
There will be a silent auction at 7.30pm, on Saturday, March 3, at the Woodlands Hotel and Sid Valley Business of the Year Award winner Kyle Baker will be making a fundraising film for the event.
Janet’s daughter Laura heads the Exeter-based project, which offers arts therapy and counselling support to children and teenagers with anxiety and depression.
Christine said: “The trust is hoping to expand services to East Devon but needs to raise more funds. Janet’s granddaughter Maria and friend Josh are acting in the film - and Laura’s baby Alice directed the whole thing!”
Items for auction include a weekend pass for two to Sandy Park for the Mitsubishi International Rugby 7s event, a day at the spa, a voucher for Sidmouth Golf Club and much more.
Tickets (£5) including finger buffet and music will be available in February from Paragon Books and the Woodlands Hotel.
