Sidmouth High Street has now reopened after an accident earlier this morning (Saturday),
BBC Travel South West said the road was blocked in both directions due to an accident near Holmdale,
A police spokesman said that there had been a collision between a car and a stationary lorry.
The spokesman added that the police were recovering the vehicles and the road was now reopened.
