A DARTS competition at the Volunteer Inn pub this month raised �300 for the Sidmouth Hospice.
The generous sum was the biggest single amount organisers Joanne Jacobs and Steve Lea have raised for a charity in more than a year of fundraising for local causes, the total of which stands at more than �800.
Volunteer landlord Steve reserved special praise for landlady Joanne and Sidmouth's The Fountain Head, Balfour Arms, Weavings Fruit and Veg, Yummy Express and Hair Flair.
