PHOTOGRAPHS of some of the world's most beautiful and exotic places will be on display in Sidmouth next week.

The exhibition, which features 65 photos from five continents, is the brain child of Nicola Skudder who wants to raise money for a Tanzanian village.

A seasoned traveller, Mrs Skudder, of Newlands Road, has visited 41 countries including China, Peru, New Zealand and since her feet became itchy 20 years ago.

Included in the exhibition are Mrs Skudder's travels to the Serengeti, the Great Wall of China and the Galapagos Islands.

She said: "I love travelling and have taken so many photos of interesting and beautiful countries over the years.

"People said to me you should do something with the photos so I decided to organise this exhibition."

All proceeds go towards raising money for a piped water system in the Tanzanian village of Butari.

The project is an ongoing scheme to improve the quality of life of the Butari community.

Mrs Skudder added: "I wanted to organise the exhibition for charity and the Butari project is a very worthwhile cause, after all, everyone should have access to running water."

The exhibition takes place on Wednesday, September 24 at Blinis Café Bar, York Street, Sidmouth at 7.30pm. A full bar will be open. Tickets (£5) are available from the Village Collection Shop and Goviers of Sidmouth or e-mail Mrs Skudder on nic_sidmouth@yahoo.co.uk.
