Hotel customers vote for staff’s good service

AS part of recent National Customer Service Week celebrations in Sidmouth, the area director for Brend hotels, Matthew Raistrick, handed out awards to four members of staff from the Victoria and Belmont hotels.

Other members of staff and guests voted for the eventual winners. The Victoria champions were, from left: Deborah Bennett, a lounge waitress and Duncan Henshall a deputy manager, with the Belmont champions, Sebastien Cann, a trainee manager and Steven McCracken, a station head waiter.

“The week allowed us the refocus on what we are here for, and that is good customer service,” Dave Oxley, from the Victoria, told the Sidmouth Herald.

“It was good to raise the profile of the hotels, and was a nice distraction from normal duties!”
