The winners of Sidmouth in Bloom’s Floral Competition have been announced.

Organisers of the contest have praised the standard of entries – with increased participation in some categories and a drop in others.

Lynette Talbot, chairman of Sidmouth in Bloom, said: “We’d like a lot more people to enter because it’s a bit of community spirit.

“This year, the standard overall has been high with the town looking great. We thank everyone for taking part, especially the judges for their time and effort, in what should be treated as a fun but rewarding competition.
