Gardeners tackling tough weather conditions have been rewarded for their efforts in this year’s Sidmouth floral competition.

Judges visited green spaces small, medium and large, cast their eye over hanging baskets and biodiversity gardens and visited homes and businesses.

Lynette Talbot, chairwoman of Sidmouth in Bloom, said: “Despite the drought then the rain, the gardens have looked great.

“We thank everyone for taking part in what should be treated as a fun but rewarding competition.”
