INSPIRED by three Sidmouth marathon runners with children at the school, more than 100 pupils from Sidmouth Infants took part in a sponsored run around the school field on Friday to raise money for outdoor play equipment.

Becky Robson and Naomi Garrick took part in the London Marathon and helped organise the event with other PTFA members, to provide an all-weather playground with pirate ship and climbing frame.

PTFA chairman Janice May said: "The children were inspired by the runners to do a sponsored run as a keep fit campaign.

"Children ran around the field as long as they wanted to and for finishing each got a medal. We have 106 children and all took part and really enjoyed it.
