Sidmouth Lifeboat was called out after reports of a missing dinghy with two people on board, and one person possibly in the water.

Crews were contacted by HM Coastguard to assist in the search for the vessel.

Immediately after the launch, the lifeboat was stood down as the casualty in the water had been located and rescued by the Coastguard Helo 106 from Portland, off of Budleigh Salterton.

The dinghy was returned to the beach by Exmouth ILB with the assistance of Beer, Sidmouth and Exmouth Coastguard teams.

Exmouth Lifeboat and Exmouth ILB were also involved in the rescue.
