WAITROSE in Sidmouth celebrated handing out �40,000 to local causes since their Community Matters Scheme started in 2008.
Sidmouth Lifeboat – one of the first beneficiaries of the project along with Sidmouth Living with Cancer and Children’s Hospice South West – joined in celebrations last week and received a cheque for �560.
Branch manager Mark Shepherd is pictured with crew members including Theo Burgess, an assistant section manager at the store, in celebrating the handover.
Also present were Alex Goodhall, Glyn Jones, Guy Bennett, Simon Priestly and Freddy Wedderburn.
