A mother and daughter duo, who have taken over a Sidmouth cafe, have reopened the business after a big revamp.

Liv Brown and her mum Louise bought Graze, in the High Street, last May.

The cafe has since undergone a ten-day refurbishment and reopened as Browns’ Kitchen.

Speaking to the Herald, the pair said their food was cooked from scratch with locally-sourced ingredients.

All of the cakes are made by 22-year-old Liv and have already proved very popular - especially the brownies and cheese scones.

Louise said the main changes were to the table tops, chairs and the parquet flooring, which was sanded down and repolished - transforming the dark brown wood into a beautiful golden colour. The cafe will also now be opening in the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays.

Louise added: “We wanted to bring it into the 21st century and create a great space for all generations.”
