Sidmouth Musical Theatre and Sidmouth Musical Comedy Society are already preparing for their joint Christmas production of Scrooge! - The Musical, which takes places at the Manor Pavilion Theatre from November 27 to the December 2.

Their last collaboration was the sell-out production of White Christmas in 2016.

Scrooge! – The Musical follows closely the story of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and is based on the 1970 film starring Albert Finney.

Much of the music and more is used in the stage version created in 1992 with book, music and lyrics all written by Leslie Bricusse.

The role of Scrooge was created on stage by Anthony Newley and has since been played by Tommy Steele among others.
