Sidmouth show rakes in 1,000 for RM Benevolent Fund
THE Royal Marine Benevolent Fund has received a cheque for 1,000 at a passing out parade at the Royal Marine Commando Training Centre, Lympstone.
Brigadier Salzano received the cheque from Selwyn Kussman, chairman of the Sidmouth Arts Club Operatic Society.
The money was raised last month from the sale of Union Jacks and a raffle during the run of When The Lights Go On Again, and was rounded up to 1,000 by SACOS. Selwyn said: “The society would like to thank the generous public of Sidmouth for helping to raise this money.”
