A year-long charity raffle has raised £2,850 for Sidmouth’s Admiral Nurse Campaign.
The Sidmouth Patchers and Quilters have been selling tickets throughout the year for a king-size quilt and a machine-stiched piece of art.
The quilt, which is called Blue Horizon, was made by Seaton resident Moira Fox, who gave the item to the group to help a local charity.
The Sid Valley’s new Admiral Nurse, Heidi Crook, drew the winners out of the hat at Kennaway House on Monday.
Sidmouth resident Jenny Moore was the lucky recipient of the quilt and June Owen was drawn as the winner of the artwork.
Adrian Ford, trustee for the Sid Valley Memory Café, said: “We are extremely grateful to everyone at Sidmouth Patchers and Quilters for creating such a wonderful quilt and a beautiful picture, and then selling so many raffle tickets to raise funds for our campaign for an Admiral Nurse for the Sid Valley.
“Their amazing efforts will help to ensure that the Sid Valley’s Admiral Nurse will be helping families’ living with Dementia for many years to come.”
