RESIDENTS at Sidmouth’s Holmesley Nursing Home had a hoot when they were visited by Hawkridge Birds of Prey and four owls.
Activities manager Sue Hart said: “Every one of the residents and staff enjoyed having a beautiful bird on their arm.”
The owls have been hand reared to ensure a friendly nature towards people, which allows them to be comfortably and safely handled.
The visit coincided with the birthday of one resident, Christine Howe, which made it an extra- special occasion.
