SIDMOUTH'S wear it pink event last month raised an incredible 2,350 for Cancer Research UK.
More than 40 businesses in the town took part in the fundraising day to highlight the charity's breast cancer awareness campaign 'join the fight for women's survival'.
Lenny Titherington, manager of Sidmouth's Cancer UK shop, said: "It was great to see so many businesses provide all sorts of activities such as shaving heads, wearing wigs and selling cakes in order to fund vital research.
"We are truly grateful to everyone in the community who helped make the day so special and proud of what everyone has achieved.
