SIDMOUTH town councillors will discuss plans by Glenside Partnership Ltd., to demolish Glenside nursing home, Manor Road, and build 14 apartments in two blocks when its planning committee meets at Woolcombe House, Woolcombe Lane on Wednesday, January 7.

FLOODLIGHTING to illuminate three tennis courts at Fortfield Terrace, Sidmouth, is the subject of a planning application to be considered by town councillors for comment on Wednesday, January 7.

Sidmouth Cricket, Tennis, Croquet and Hockey Club was given planning permission by East Devon District Council in February 2006 to erect floodlights and this runs out in February 2009.

A proviso is that the lighting must be switched off no later than 10pm on any day.

A SIDFORD couple have applied to remove a slate roof from their home, Crossways Cottage, School Street, and replace it with water reed thatch. The application will be discussed at Sidmouth Town Council's planning committee on Wednesday, January 7, from 6.30pm.
