Sidmouth Police appeal-thieves break into car

POLICE are appealing for information after thieves broke into a car in Sidmouth and stole a handbag. The passenger side window of a silver Ford Focus was smashed when it was parked at Peak Hill car park between 8.30pm and 9.40pm on Wednesday.

POLICE are appealing for information after thieves broke into a car in Sidmouth and stole a handbag.

The passenger side window of a silver Ford Focus was smashed when it was parked at Peak Hill car park between 8.30pm and 9.40pm on Wednesday.

The brown leather handbag was taken from under the passengers' seat.

Police have issued another warning to motorists urging them to take belongings with them when leaving a car unattended.

Anyone with information about the theft should ring 08452 777444 quoting crime reference number KS/09/402.
