Residents are being encouraged to get into the Christmas spirit for the very first Santa Stomp in aid of Sidmouth Primary School.

The school PTFA is inviting everyone to join in the one-mile fun run around The Byes.

Participants can sign up before Saturday, December 9, or on the day from 10am. Sidmouth Running Club will provide a warm up before the race begins at 11am.

The course will see the runners’ race round the banks of the River Sid and awaiting them at the finish line will be some festive treats.

Creative racers can also try and win vouchers in the fancy dress competition, with prizes provided by Dukes of Sidmouth.

Anna Rowson, from the PTFA, said: “You can run in anything from simply a Christmas jumper to dressing as Father Christmas himself.

“All funds raised are going entirely towards Sidmouth C of E Primary School who desperately need to raise funds each year to keep their mini bus running.”
