Volunteer Inn landlord risks a shave at Cancer Research UK fundraiser
BRAVE Sidmouth pub landlord Steve Lea of the Volunteer Inn, Temple Street, went under the knife on Saturday to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The fundraising evening saw Steve getting a shave from Phil Weaver and Doug Smith having half a shave, for which he raised 100.
The event, with music, shaving, massage and hair braiding, was donated free and organised by Alan Maddock.
Together with a large prize draw, with gifts donated by generous Sidmouth traders, the fundraiser amassed more than 3,200 for the cancer charity.
