A GIANT raffle next month will see a massive 2,000 quilt raise cash for Kennaway House.
The raffle on December 10, organised by the Friends of Kennaway House, will see the efforts of the North Sea Quilters, professional long-arm quilters based in the Netherlands, handed over to one lucky ticket holder.
More than 1,000 of tickets have already been sold for the event and the Barclays Community Fund will matching the first 750 raised.
Dr Michael James, Chairman of Kennaway House said: "It was extremely generous of the North Sea Quilters to give us this beautiful piece of work. The Friends are continuing to be a huge support to Kennaway House now that it is restored and open for all the many things that happen here."
Tickets (2) are available from the Kennaway House office on (01395) 515551.
- A concert with Val Howells on November 19, also organised by the Friends of Kennaway, raised around 1,500 for the cause.
"This support is really important to us as a charity and the trustees are very grateful," said Dr James.
