A GROUP of friends got on their bikes and took on a 100-mile challenge to raise hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research.
Father and son pairs Matt and Callum Bray and Chris and Barney Stone, and pal Alan Richardson, cycled from Topsham Rugby Club to Exmoor and back, writes Greg Carter.
They raised around 500 in the process.
The boys, Callum, 14, a pupil at St John’s School, and Barney, 14, who goes to Colyton Grammar School, scored extra praise as they were the youngest riders to complete the cycle in just over seven hours.
The quintet covered an average of 14 miles per hour as part of the challenge.
