Sidmouth's Dove amusement centre should not block windows say town planners

THE man transforming The Dove, the former Sidmouth pub that is being turned into an adult amusement centre, should not be allowed to block up two ground floor windows.

THE man transforming The Dove, the former Sidmouth pub that is being turned into an adult amusement centre, should not be allowed to block up two ground floor windows.

Sidmouth Town Council's planning committee feels George Symonds's application would be detrimental to the street scene within a conservation area and recommends another solution be found - preferably on the inside - to retain the character of the windows.

The committee recommends East Devon District Council refuse the application.
