Donations flood in for Sidmouth’s Fred the peacock appeal launched by the Sidmouth Herald

AN appeal to save Fred the floral peacock has reached the £705 mark.

Donations have been arriving daily at the home of Sidmouth in Bloom president Joy Seward, including a £50 cheque from a woman in Derby who writes of her links with the town through her mother, who was born there in 1896.

“It is wonderful, I’m sure he will be saved, and we couldn’t have done it without the Herald’s help,” said Joy.

Donations can be sent to her at Southgate, Knowle Drive, Sidmouth, EX10 8HW.
