SUNDAY'S FolkWeek festival service, held at Connaught Gardens by Christians Together in Sidmouth, raised 632.43 towards the Rotary Club's Polio Plus campaign.
Preacher at the service, attended by some 500 people, was the Reverend Canon Mark Rylands, who was named the new Bishop of Shrewsbury on Tuesday.
"This was probably his last service as a Canon, we feel very privileged to have had him there," said Mike Edgecombe from CTIS.
