THE work of Sidmouth's brave Lifeboat and Coastguard crews will be marked with a special "Sea Sunday" service in Sidmouth tomorrow.

The event, at 10.45 in the town's Methodist Church on July 12, will be a celebration for all those who and work on, or by the sea according to church steward Josephine Harrison.

She said: "Thanks will be given for the selfless work of the lifeboat crews and for all who support them in any way. Also for the Coastguards at Sidmouth and Beer who maintain a close watch over the safety of all who are near the sea.

"All those who sail and work on or by the sea, as well as those who enjoy and take pleasure in the sea and its power and beauty are most warmly invited to share with the congregation in hymns and praise on this special day.
