A SIDMOUTH shop worker has appealed to residents for sewing and knitting equipment so she can carry on a fashionable family tradition.
Field’s of Sidmouth employee Emily Jane Thornhill wants to craft her own jumpers for one simple reason: “I can’t find any that I like,” she told the Herald.
Emily, from Talaton, has asked townsfolk to donate any unwanted sewing machines, dress mannequins and knitting machines to help get her venture off the ground.
“My grandma has knitted jumpers- it’s a family tradition,” she said, “I’m going to be learning everything as I go.”
If you can help Emily, contact her on (01404) 822988, or at ejthornhill@googlemail.com.
