Mo determined to join Iolanthe cast on Sidmouth stage after write-off car accident

SINGER and actress Mo Cuthbert is “devastated” to have missed opening night of Iolanthe after being hurt in a write-off car accident on Monday.

Mo, principal fairy Leila in the Gilbert and Sullivan production by Sidmouth Arts Club Operatic Society, received whiplash neck injuries after her yellow Suzuki car, she was driving alone in to dress rehearsals at Manor Pavilion Theatre, was written off in a collision on Trow Hill.

“I can’t describe how I felt, it was so nasty. I could have been killed, so I deem myself very lucky.

“As I couldn’t go on stage I am totally devastated. All that work put into the show and I couldn’t go and do what I am supposed to do.”
