BA HUMBUG will be the words on everyone's lips when Sidmouth Youth Theatre presents its latest production in the New Year.

High on the success of The Wiz and Showtime 3, Sidmouth Youth Theatre are deep in rehearsals for their latest family production, Scrooge-The Musical.

Based on the Charles Dickens classic 'A Christmas Carol', the show tells the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted, tight-fisted, selfish man, who despises Christmas and all things which make people happy.

In an attempt to save him from himself, Scrooge is visited by three ghosts, who show him how life was, how it is now and how it could be.

With all the familiar characters, including Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim, and packed with great songs, this is a fabulous show for all the family.

The show features a diverse musical score including the Oscar-nominated hit Thank You Very Much.

It is a classic tale brought musically to life by Director/Producer Angela Davies and Musical Director Allan Fouracre, with a large talented cast and live professional musicians.

Performances are at the Manor Pavilion Theatre from Monday, February 2, to Saturday, February 7 at 7.30pm and 2pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, February 7.
