Sidmouth store's expansion nears end

SIDMOUTH S Waitrose store will close tomorrow (Saturday) at 7pm and re-open on Friday, November 20, to allow installation of new fittings and re-merchandising of the newly-extended shop.

SIDMOUTH'S Waitrose store will close tomorrow (Saturday) at 7pm and re-open on Friday, November 20, to allow installation of new fittings and re-merchandising of the newly-extended shop.

Work to provide an extra 8,000 square feet at the store is nearing its end, and, says manager Mark Shepherd: "I would like to thank neighbours and customers for their patience during the 40 weeks of this project."

Broadcaster Sue Lawley, a regular customer, who lives in Budleigh Salterton, will officially re-open the store at 8.30am on the Friday.

Some 63 jobs have been created by Waitrose as a result of its expansion.
