SIDMOUTH Police are warning people not to accept lifts off strangers.
The warning comes after a 15-year-old girl was offered a ride by a man in a small black car in the town on Thursday, August 27 at midnight.
The girl refused the lift and the man drove off.
A police spokesperson said: "The man engaged the girl in conversation before offering a lift.

He may have been genuine but we want to warn people never to get in a car with someone you don't know-no matter who it is.
