Sidmouth College pupils got into the festive spirit by taking part in a Christmas tradition.
Sixth formers carried a tree from Wyevale Garden Centre, through the town, and to the school. Along the way they collected £60 in donations towards a yuletide party they will stage for residents at Bindon Care residential home.
The tree was donated by Wyevale, which has also gifted them to the town centre, St Francis Church, Beacon Medical Centre, St Peter’s Church in Sidford, Sidbury Primary School, all three Sidmouth Primary School sites and to Sidmouth Hospiscare, which will display it in the parish church.
Sidmouth garden centre manager Paul Marder said: “It’s great to be able to spread our Christmas cheer throughout the community.”
