A social enterprise is bringing Sidmouth’s teens and youngsters together for gardening and growth.
Community gardener Pete Scott united primary pupils with Sidmouth College students to work hard and have fun planting flowers and vegetables.
The project has been supported by the Sid Vale Association, Sidmouth Garden Centre and Sidmouth in Bloom.
Pete said: “It is a great personal privilege to be able to support such a great school and such hard working teachers, and to help expand the opportunities for Sidmouth’s greatest asset - its children and young people.”
He also works with the valley’s Memory Café, and they are developing a garden at the Unitarian church as a ‘stress-free, nurturing environment’.
This was granted funding from UnLtd, which distributes corporate responsibility funding from companies like Ernst and Young to community projects.
