STUDENTS from Sidmouth College will be taking part in the 'Don't Let Devon Go to Waste' summit alongside seven other schools later this month.

Eighty young people will be attending the event at County Hall on Monday, March 30 and the aim of the summit is to tackle the issues surrounding waste.

Students will also work in groups to discuss plastic packaging, how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle and will also produce a radio advert.

They are encouraged to bring packed lunches which generate the least amount of waste possible and the winners get £150 for their school.
