POLICE have praised Tour of Britain spectators who watched the race from Sidbury and Sidford.
Sergeant Andy Turner said there were no incidents during this part of the race and everybody gave the cyclists plenty of space.
He said: "All the spectators were sensible and they did exactly what there were asked."
There were a few complaints from members of the public about roads being shut to traffic but Sergeant Turner said they were closed for only a short period.

He said one motorist "endangered" the cyclists by ignoring the road closed signs and continued driving but was dealt with by an officer.
