SIDMOUTH Town Band will be rounding off another successful season in a festive style with a Christmas concert next Friday.

This popular annual concert includes all types of music with plenty of favourite Christmas tunes mixed in and some carols to get you in the festive spirit.

There will also be a number of light hearted novelty solo items and the annual presentation of the President's Cup and Michael Parker Cup as well as an appearance by the Youth and Training Band.

The bar will be open and the popular Christmas raffle will take place and people will have the opportunity to buy copies of the band's CDs.

Chris Holland, chairman of Sidmouth Town Band, said: "All in all, the evening promises to be thoroughly enjoyable and packed full of entertainment with which to enjoy the Christmas spirit."

The past year has been exceptionally busy for the band and included the longest ever run of the annual season of summer concerts which lasted for 16 performances.

Chris added: "The band is particularly thankful to Sidmouth Town Council who not only provides a grant each year but this year repaired the steps to the band room.

The concert, held at the Manor Pavilion on Friday, December 12, commences at 7.30pm with the doors and bar open from 6.30pm.

Tickets (£3) are available from the Manor Pavilion box office on 01395 514413.
