Sidmouth town chairman presents grants
AS NEW chairman of Sidmouth Town Council, Councillor Peter Sullivan has been visiting local groups to hand over monetary grants made by the council.
AS NEW chairman of Sidmouth Town Council, Councillor Peter Sullivan has been visiting local groups to hand over monetary grants made by the council.
On Tuesday he met Caroline Vansittart, playgroup leader, helpers and children at Sidford Playgroup during its open morning, to hand over �200, which will be used towards paying the rent for Sidford Social Hall.
Mr Sullivan also visited staff and children at Sidmouth Day Care Nursery to present �100 grant.
Nursery team leader Karin Persson said: "As a charity, we are very grateful to receive such a generous donation which will help fund the new pirate play ship for the children."
