Some 26 Sid Valley organisations will net a share of nearly £15,000 of community cash.
The groups all applied for support from Sidmouth Town Council, which decided on its grants last week.
The £14,680 total is the most that the council has awarded in some time. Last year’s total was £10,600.
Cheques will be presented at the council’s annual assembly in the coming months.
The recipients are:

? 1st Sid Vale Scouts – £1,000.
? Sidmouth Arboretum – £1,000.
? Sidmouth Help Link – £1,000.
? Sidmouth Regatta – £1,000.
? Sidmouth Surf Lifesaving Club – £1,000.
? Sidmouth Drill Hall Hub community interest company – £750.
? Sidmouth Sailing Club – £750.
? Sidmouth and East Devon Walking Festival – £600.
? Friends of the Byes – £500.
? Kennaway House – £500.
? Sid Valley Memory Café – £500.
? Sidbury Millennium Green Trust – £500.
? Sidmouth Carnival – £500.
?Sidmouth Choral Society – £400.
? Apple Tree Preschool – £250.
? Byes Preschool – £250.
? Sidmouth Day Care Nursery – £250.
? Sidmouth Decorative and Fine Arts Society – £250.
? Sidmouth Literary Festival – £150.
? Sidmouth Parish Church – £140.
? Health and Local Food for Families – £100.
? Sid Valley Horticultural Society – £100.
? Sidmouth Hot Cross Bun Fund – £100.
? Sidford Short Mat Bowling Club – £90.
