TRIPLETS from a Sidmouth primary school will take happy memories with them as they embark on their high school career.

Robert, Demelza and Katrina Horth are bidding a fond farewell to St Nicholas Junior School in the summer - and their music teacher Nick Kitchen, who officially retired last week.

Their mum Christine Horth said the 10-year-olds will all miss Mr Kitchen, with Robert particularly fond of his storytelling, Katrina singing in his choir and Demelza said that she loved hearing him play the piano.

Robert said: "He told us myths and legends and really good stories. He tells them really well, with great expression."

Christine added: "Mr Kitchen has chosen 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat"' as the year six production, something the triplets have been looking forward to since they saw big sister Jasmine, in the St Nicholas version of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', four years ago."

Christine and husband Simon would like to thank all the people who have helped the children develop into "responsible and happy" youngsters during their time at St Nicks, Sidmouth Infants and Apple Tree Pre-School.

Robert, Demelza and Katrina will be moving to Sidmouth College in September and would also like to say a big thank you.

The triplets are not the only ones moving to pastures new as their parents have recently moved from careers in adult education spanning 25 years and are now caring for the under five age group.

Sidmouth residents may have spotted the triplets triple buggy, in use once again, transporting children around the town.
