SIDMOUTH went pink yesterday (October 24) in a bid to raise awareness over breast cancer.
Seventeen local shops and businesses marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a range of colour-related displays and activities, from blowing up balloons to donning wigs and t-shirts.
Lenny Titherington, shop manager of Cancer Research UK in Fore Street, said: " So many people have come forward from businesses big and small and we are absolutely delighted. It shows the community spirit in Sidmouth and wiliness to help raise awareness of breast cancer and raise more funds."
"I have to thank Yvonne from Paper Moon and Philippa from Beauty Within, who have volunteered themselves to the cause and have drummed up local support."
